GERMAN VICTORIOUS
HERSE V. BURNS BOUT PRINCE OF WALES AT FIGHT By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. Reed. 12.20 p.m. LONDON, Wed. Herman Herse, the German middleweight champion, knocked out Frank Burns in the fourth round at the Albert Hall. The Prince of Wales was a member of the large audience. The bout was characterised by hardhitting, and there was little display of science. Burns was thoroughly game after being knocked down in the second round, but he was finally despatched in the fourth with a body punch. Dick Smith, the ex-cruiserweight champion, refereed. In the bout between Molina (France) and Collins (Australia) the Frenchman used his left vigorously in the first round, and "had Collins at his mercy. Collins was so severely punished in the second round that he was unable to enter the ring for the third. —Sun.
