Returning to AuckiandV joined the Artillery Band and her, deputy-bandmaster under his brntUi Andrew. Both had been member ' the band from 1868. In later year, v was bandmaster of the .\ewrr7.v ‘ Band and the Auckland Fire Bril, Band, and he finished his bumT career as a cornetist in Impey, (£ Band. Mr. Hunter is survived bv family of three sons and daughters.
