LADIES’ GOLF

MEETING OF WAIHI CLUB (From Our Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, Wednesday. The annual general meeting of the Waihi Ladies’ Golf Club was held on Tuesday afternoon. The report showed that Mrs. V. Morgan won the ladies’ cup; Mrs. Walmsley the trophy presented by Mrs. J. Whitehead for the knock-out competition: Mrs. Wilson the trophy of the eclectic competition presented by Mrs. Barron; Mrs. Bell, the club championship, with Miss Paterson the runner-up; Mrs. Bell, the silver medal with a score of 318 for the four best cards, and Mrs. Malyon the bronze medal with a score of 327. The following officers were elected: Captain, Mrs. Malyon; secretary. Mrs. Barron; committee, Mesdames Johnston, Toy, Morgan, Whitehead, and Clarke.
