REV. J. E. PARSONS

FAREWELL SOCIAL The Rev. J. E. Parsons, of Stanley Bay Methodist Church, who has accepted a charge at Palmerston North, is being succeeded by the Rev. J. F. Martin, of Greymouth. Mr. C. M. Browne, who last night presided at the farewell social to Mr. and Mrs. Parsons, praised the work chat the departing minister had done during his twelve years’ service at Stanley Bay and Devonport. Mr. Parsons, who was given a mahogany clock, with a silver water-jug for his wife, said he regretted going away, adding that he and Mrs. Parsons would treasure many memories of their stay here.
