EXPENSIVE LUXURY
CAR CAUSES BANKRUPTCY The purchase of a motor-car valued at £llO was stated to be the cause of the bankruptcy of Charles Benjamin Steele, a linotype operator, residing at Moa Street. Point Chevalier, whose meeting of creditors was called for this morning. There were no creditors present, and the meeting was adjourned. Bankrupt’s statement showed unsecured, creditors £55 ISs 2d. and assets nil. He said that the car in question was later returned, and upon being pressed for payment of spare parts purchased he had no option but to file his petition.
