PEACE AFTER STORM
GLEN EDEN COUNCIL QUIET “ Ease after war, port after stormy seas . . . .” There is peace in Glen Eden; there is peace even in the Glen Eden Council room. Things have changed greatly. A few weeks ago the fortnightly meetings were characterised by the heat and robustness of the debates, which became somewhat bitter at times. Perhaps it was because one member was absent, perhaps it was because there was nothing very contentious in the business; but certain it is that last night's meeting was quiet and orderly and good-spirited. The business was dismissed in good time.
