Queen's House Party.—Queen Alary is arranging to have a children’s house party at Windsor Castle at Easter. as the little Princess Elizabeth will be in the household. Princess Mary’s sons will join the party. Strike Settled.—Following a conference, the employees of the Clyde Engineering Works, who struck because they considered one of their number had been unfairly treated, decided to resum* 1 work to-day. Million Passengers.—The Sydney Tramway Department announcer that 1,052,879 people were carried on the trams on Saturday, comnared with 976,482 when the Prince of Wales arrived in 1920. Knocked Down by Motor-Cycle.— Abrasions and slight head injuries were suffered by Wilford Dormer, aged 18 years, through being knocked down by a motor-cycle in Queen Street this morning. The youth, who resides at 7 Dunbar Road. Mount Eden, was admitted to the hospital, wh re lie is reported to be making satisfactory progress.
