A SCULLING CHALLENGE MAJOR GOODSELL WANTS RACE 1 By Cable. — Press Association. —Copyright SYDNEY, To-day. Major Goodsell, in a letter from Portland, America, dated February 16, seeks information regarding Hannan’s intentions about a challenge he issued, and Goodsell accepted, naming San Francisco as course, and April 10 as a date. He adds that he has not yet heard from Hannan, and supposes that the latter has given up the idea of racing Goodsell. He has started training, but he does not want to continue without purpose, as he has other races ahead, and w r ants to know definitely whether Hannan is coming or not. A newspaper points out that it is now too late for Hannan to make the trip and get into form.—A. and N.Z.
