A WORTH-WHILE “TIP” Romance surrounds the story of the fortune of £104,000 recently left by the Rev. Ernest Owen, for 16 vcu-s headmaster of the Llandaff Cathedral School. While at Llandaff he won to a remarkable degree the confidence and affection of liis pupils. One of the old boys went out to the Malay Peninsula, where he became actively connected' with the rubber industry. ’ Remembering the kindness of his former headmaster. he wrote to Mr. Owen and urged him to invest all his savings in certain rubber companies which he recommended. Possessing a keen business instinct,, Mr. Owen followed his old pupil’s advice, and found himself possessed of great wealth.
