Alburnia. —Fifteen feet ol progress was made last week driving north. The total distance from the entrance is 1,530 ft. A good firm class pf country is coming across the face and we are hoping that this is a channel of country accompanying tne Star of the South reef. The western crosscut has been extended a lurther distance of Bft, making 40ft to date. The bar we are penetrating continues to be of an extremely hard character. Tlie intermediate level has been advanced a further Oft, making 64ft from the top of the rise. The reef has been an average width of 12in and at each breaking-down shows nice blotches of gold.
