AIR FORCE ACCIDENTS

UNEASINESS STILL FELT MORE INFORMATION WANTED Tip Cable. —Press Association.—Copyright Received 8.50 a.m. LONDON, Wednesday. In the House of Lords, Lord Goreil, referring to Mr. Baldwin’s statement regarding air accidents, said that he had not fully covered the ground nor entirely removed the uneasiness that was felt. Information should have been given on certain technical aspects of the question, especially those with regard to the testing of new safety appliances. The Duke of Sutherland said it was undesirable to publish statistical information about aviation, which must for years to come entail accidents. Needless reckless flying was rigidly checked and four pilots court-mar-tialled and two convicted for’it. it was a cruel libel on a gallant body of men to suggest over-indulg-ence- in alcohol caused the accidents. —Sun.
