Six CASES TO BE HEARD
The No. 1 Transport Appeal Board the presidency of Mr. Justice Frazer will sit for the first time in Auckland on Wednesday next. Six ippeal* have been set down for hear'"ln appeal against the granting of a li-’ence to the Auckland City tramways department to run a bus service between the Remuera tram terminus and MeadoAVbank Hoad has been lodged by Mr L. J. Keys, proprietor of the Cityst Hellers Bay service. ■ The Passenger Transport Company is also appealing against the action „( tlie licensing authority in granting the tramways department a licence to run a bus service between the Harp of El-in and Meadowbank Road. The remainder of the appeals concern tile North Bhore Transport. An peal w ill also be made by both the Taka puna Ferry and Tramways Company and the Takapuna Borough Council against the decision of the No. 1 Licensing Authority, which took in the area, under the jurisdiction of the No. 2 Authority when the latter was dissolved, and granted licences to the Yellow Bus Company to run from Devonport to Takapuna. The two appellants have lodged separate appeals against the licence granted Mr. A. Eady to run a service between Brown’s Bay and Devonport. The.boald will meet at St. Andrew’s Hall, Lower Symonds Street.
