A TOM MIX PICTURE Thrilling entertainment is provided by "The Great K. and A. Train Robbery,” a Fox production which is featured at the Hippodrome and Empress Theatres. With Tom Mix as the star, and a story that moves briskly, there are no dull moments. The star is cast as Tom Gordon, a noted detective who has been assigned to the tough job of rounding up a gang of desperadoes who have had great success in looting K. and A. trains.- Burton Holt, division superintendent, is really the brains of the gang, and Tom soon finds this out. Meanwhile, he meets Madge Cullen (Dorothy Dwan), the daughter of the president of the railroad. Madge mistakes Tom for a bandit, which does nothing but add to the detective’s troubles. From the time of Tom’s big encounter with the bandits to the end of the picture. "The Great K. and A. Train Robbery” travels at terrific speed.
