STOLE TWO BOTTLES; VALUE 2D

When Joseph Hollis walked off with two empty bottles from the backyard of the Thistle Hotel the other day he ran a fair risk of going to gaoi, for dozens of bottles have disappeared from there lately, and Hollis, who is an old man of 69, walked into the trap set for the thief. When he came up for sentence this morning Detective-Sergeant Hammond said that the Salvation Army was prepared to take care of him. He'd only been out of prison a little over a week when the offence was committed. Hollis was therefore handed over to Commandant Parsons, and ordered to come up for sentence within six months if called on. -r 4: rfc 'i? hr Hr rfc ¥e rh ~h
