Business since our last report has linen Tory quiet, and it would appear as if what is generally our brisk season in normal y ini-H, is this year to he flat, stale, and unprofitable. On Wednesday Mr. J. E. V. Alvord held «n Auction Sale of Furniture, Earthenware, and gouerul Drapery. -There was u fair attendance, hut we noticed an absence of that spirited bidding which was ohscrvublo at Auctions twelve months ago.
