eerted that he resisted Qibbs because he had reason to believe the Gazette was becoming the organ of Prince Bismarck. The evidence m the action disclosed the faot that Steinkopf, who recently put chased the paper, had negotiated with Dr Bottenburg, Bismarck's secretary, with a view of making the St. James' Qasette the organ of Prince Bismarck. During the trial a letter was road from Dr. Bottenhurg, in which the opinion was expressed that Germany alone would profit by the prosecQlion of General Boolanger.
