RACING AT AUCKLAND. (Per Press Association). Auckland, December 29. The races are being continued in fine, though overcast weather. Ihe going is good, and the attendance large. Results:— Bowen Handicap, of 200 sovs, six furlongs.—Alf. Delaval (8./) 1, Ayah (8.7) 2, Independence (7.6) 3. Scratched; Hexton, Penniless, Homeric. Ayah was in first entering the straight, where Alf. Delaval came through, winning by half a length. Time, 1.16. Islington Plate, of 630 sovs, one mile.—Desert Gold (8.9) 1, Sasanor (7.13) 2, The Toff (7.13) 3. All started. Desert Gold led all the way, winning by a length. Time. 1.38
2-5. . Visitors’ Handicap, of 350 sovs, 1 'mile.—Koesian (7.8) 1, Swcetcorn (8.11) 2, Waiuta (7.6) 3. Scratched: Risogne. Koesian came through at the straight, and won by three-quar-ters of a length. Time, 1.15. Ponsonby Hurdles, of 350 sovs, U miles.—Tararu Jack (H-2) V. ful (10.3) 2. Gluepot (0.12) 3. All started. Tararu Jack led all the way and won by three-quarters of a length.
