THE DRIVERS' DISPUTE.

SATISFACTORY SETTLEMENT. Per Press Association. Christchurch, December 4. A big meeting of local drivers yesterday adopted the report of the Wellington conference and the terms of settlement, and also resolved to heartily thank the Hon. W. H. Herries for the tactful and able manner in which he brought about a settlement. The meeting expressed its appreciation of the ell'orts of the delegates, and resolved upon ways and means to he discussed of amalgamating the existing drivers' unions.
