Hlaldeman, the broker, goes away for a brief rest, leaving his affairs in the hands of his broker, Humes, who at once schemes to ruin Haldeman. The clerk having overheard Hornes’ scheme, manages just in time to save It is employer from ruin, and by so doing wins the hand o f Dorothy Haldeman.
