GALE IN WELLINGTON.
Per Press Association. Wellington, November 27. A northerly gale raged last night and early this morning. Soaking rain foil, and continued all day. Shipping, especially coastal, was unable to work cargo. The downpour continues tonight. WOOL BUYERS AND VALUERS. Wellington, November 27. The wool buyers and valuers conferred again to-day. The Minister foi Agriculture has made them an offer for their services as valuers in connection with the British Government’s proposal to commandeer this season’s clip. They will give a final reply at noon to-morrow. NEW ZEALAND CHEESE IN LONDON. v Wellington, November 27. Mr Allen to-day received the following from the High Commissioner, dated London, t'Vday :—"No New Zealand cheese being allowed to go into the hands *of consignees here, pending arrangement * which the British Government purpose making.’
