STRATFORD SHOW.

THE COMING SHOW. Members of the various committees and officials have been busy during the last feiv weeks putting everything in, readiness for the annual fixture on Wednesday and Thursday next. The forthcoming show will eclipse all previous efforts, which is assured by the splendid entries received. All classes have been well filled, especially in the Holstein, Jersey, and grade cattle sections. Both for number of entries and the quality, the public will have the opportunity of seeing an exhibition of dairy animals unexcelled anywhere in the Dominion. Ayrshire and fat stock will he well represented, and in the horse section, splendid entries have been received, the result no doubt, of the very liberal prizes offered in the different classes. There are 16 competitors in the open hunters’ event, and the maiden hunters for ladies and gentlemen, potato race, bonding and a stockman’s event have been well filled. The entries In the dogs and home industries are very liberal. Several side-shows are already on the ground. The Kaponga Band ha been engaged, and Dustin, Ltd., Wanganui, have the catering in hand. The publican’s booth will be managed by Mr F. Whittle. Hot water will be provided free. Extra trains, as advertised, will ho run, and .given fine weather, there should be a record attendance. Members who have not yet received their tickets can, obtain same on Show days at the ticket office. The Association lias secured the service's of Mr W. H, Hall to judge the Jersey classes.
