AI die wool sales there was an excited demand for all slipos and crossbi.'iis. The recent advance was fully maintained. There was a poor selection of merinos. Prices wore unchanged. The following Prices were realised for the fleece portions of the New Zealand clips named:—Galatea, to 21 LI. average 2(Pd ; Ngnio. 22d and 10/,d : Whore, Dpi and 10d.
At the hides sales there was a strong demand for the lew arriving. Quotations were nominal. Australian, Hid to 13d. Leather; Best heavy Australian, 21d to 24d. Basils: First Sydneys, 21d; New Zealand, none offering.
NEWTON KING’S WEEKLY REPORT. For my Haymarket sale of the 4th inst., I had a full yarding of pigs which were offered before a fair attendance. Prices ruling being about par with my last sale. I quote:— Slips and wearers 7s Gd to £1 3s, small stores £1 7s to £1 15s Gd, medium to good stores £2 3s Gd to £2 Gs Gd. calves 2s to 12s.
