DROWNED WHILE BOATING.

A boating fatality occurred at Evans’ Bay yesterday, when Clarence Dawson, aged 19, was drowned. Dawsou was out sailing a* 14-foot boat and when trying to adjust the mainsail the halyards broke,' and Dawson fell overboard and was drowned. His body has been was an engine-cleaner employed by the Railway Department.
SUICIDE AT RAKAIA. ,-. y | Christchurch, November ti. Alexander St radian, aged 47 years, single, was found dead, hanging in his brother’s woolshed near Rakaia. Deceased, who belonged to Otago, was in the Rakaia for a few day’s holiday.
