i : ANNUAL MEETING, Tlio first meeting under the auspices of the amalgamated clubs was held in the Stratford A. and P. Association's rooms on Saturday night when the President (Mr A. Stewart) presided, there being a- small attendance of members. - $ The annual report referred at f lengtli to the operations of the year, - showing, inter alia, that the membership list had reached the total of sixty seven financial members. There is a k credit balance of £-10, together with ! assets to the value of nearly £lO. The guarantors for the £IOO pigeon match and the A. and P. Association for the use of their office and grounds were specially thanked. The thanks of the Club are also duo to all who have so ably assisted in the working of the shoots, and the executive wish to specially mention Mr J. M. Shotter (referee), Mr W. JiHamblyn (handieapper) and ■ those ! who assisted in trapping at the Chib shoots; also in the big shoot Mr H. j. Woolven for refereeing, Mr T. James for his invaluable services in handicapping and working his dogs, Mr W. Woolven and -others for their practical advice and assistance; generally, I Messrs Nelson and Green for the use ♦of their grounds and for innumerable acts* of kindness and attention to the interests of the Society; Messrs W. Lovett (Stratford) and Mr T. R. Bond (Wanganui) for donations to the funds of the Society; to Mr F. Whittle for the use of his rooms for the meetings.

In moving the adoption of the reI port and balance-sheet, the President said the result of the year’s working was '’very satisfactory considering all that they had been up against under the circumstances of the war and the fact that the three clubs (Stratford, Midhirst, and Eltham) had amalgamated, and a fresh start was being made. It was resolved to resuscitate the Ballistite Cup competitions, the first to be held on Thursday, 9th November, nominations for which close on the Ist. The conditions under which the cup is fired will be published tomorrow. . On the motion of tlie I resident, seconded by Air Campbell, a heaity vote of thanks was accorded to the guarantors for the pigeon match. " The secretary was instructed to forward a letter expressing condolence to Air G. A. Harris and family on the death of Mr'William Harris, an adopted son. _____
