MORE ALLIES’ DEMANDS. REMOVAL OF CREEK TROOPS. Press Association—Co[e riglit, Ausv.rulian and N.Z. Cable Association. Athens, October 22. The French military Attache ba presented to the King the Allies demands, which include, the transfer, cl the entire Greek force from Thessaly to Peloponnesus and the delivery of the Thessalian stores to the Allies. A later message states: Wo learn on the most reliable authority that King Constantine lias expressed his readiness to consent to any measures for ensuring the protection of General Sarrail’s rear, but it was pointed" out that the transfer of the Thessaly force to Peloponnesus was unnecessary for the protection of the Allied forces concerned. His Majesty , therefore, could not nuclei stand the motives for the demand, hut if these were explained he Avould give them his best attention. The Government has charged the army with the maintenance of order, responsibility being transferred from the' Minister of the Interior to the Minister of War. The measure has produced a deplorable impression, 1 and in Entente circles it is regarded as an attempt of the Government to indirectly violate tuo undertaking maue to the Allies to control the police. NATIONAL ARMY CROWING. Salonika, October 22. The National Government’s army already numbers three divisions, while hundreds are daily enrolling.
