Tljej New ' York World despatch from their correspondent, Karl von Weigand, who is with the Germans on the Roumanian frontier, says: General von Falkenhayn’s army on a front of 200 miles in tho Transylvania is striving to get a tighter grip on the mountain passes into Roumania. They are advancing in three columns through the Toergburger, Tomoes, and Predeal Passes towards Bucharest, which is eighty miles distant ; also through the Artschau Pass. . Tho German left wing 65 miles north of Kronstadt is . endeavouring to cut off the Russian support' from the Roumanians at Palaiikk ! " ! Pass. Troops from Dalmatia and Poffi are engaged in quelling the insinuation.
