Advance only raced until 2$ years old, and gained a record for the National Cup (Christchurch), two miles, in 4min. 46sec, which is evidence of his great pace, beating amongst others Albertorious and Black Child. Out of nine starts, he secured four firsts,, two seconds, and three unplaced. Advance has sired a number of good performers, including Hedvic, who went a mile and three furlongs in 3.15 and 3.40.
