RACING IN HAWKE’S BAY. Per Press Association. Hastings, October 7. The weather is showery, the attendance poor, and the course fair for the Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club’s spring meeting. Following are the results;— Tomoana Hack Hurdles, of 12osovs. If miles.—Hon Reve (11,11) 1, Kirkby (9.10) 2, Surtax (10.0) 3. Scratched; Hymen. Xicomar and ' Turehau fell. Won by two lengths. Time. .1.25. Maiden Hack, of lOOsovs, G.l furlongs.—Hopeite (8.7) 1, Multum (9.0) 2, Pouparler (8.2) 3. Scratched: Brodie and Shy Girl, Won by half a lefigth. Time, 1.27. Sporting. Glenaray Handicap, of 200sovs., (5| furlongs.—Sea Lord (8.13) 1, A! nil i plication (9.0) 2. A: Sydney cablegram stated that the weather was tine, and the prospects for the racing at Rand wick wore good.
