NEW ARTIFICIAL EYE.
A FRENCH INVENTION. Press Association—Copyright. Published in “The Times.” (Received 9.25 a.m.) London, October 6. Two Frenchmen have invented an artificial eye. It is made of rubber, the front surface being vulcanised and enamelled, while the back is soft and hollow, being, filled pyitlj, air. It is remarkable how it -responds to ocular movements. It does not irritate the sockets, and has the further advantage of being unbreakable.
