Professor Alexis Carrel, of tho Rockefeller Institute, announces that. .she adoption' of reforms in surgical methods throughout France has resulted in a vast diminution of amputation and fatal wounds. He also states that the use of the Daken solution for wounds is rendering it possible to do much grafting of tissue, bone and flesh, which was hitherto impracticable on a large scale.
