A correspondent at Amsterdam states that the Herman press is pointing out that the campaign which smashed Servia and opened up Constantinople caused Germany to underestimate the influence of British seapower on a Continental war. The Tages Zeitung declares that the Germans are now realising how British sea-power holds the Allies together, enabling the victorious prosecution of the war. The Volks Zeitung, in commenting in a similar strain, adds; The Gormans never rightly estimated the strength of the British Empire, hut row, unfortunately, are compelled to do so.
