At tlie’hist meeting of the committee of the Sii'Axfbrd Racing Club, a resolution was unanimiusly carried that a very hearty vote of thanks ho accorded to Mr J. 15, Richards for Ins valuable services to the. Club whilst a member of the Committee. Mr H. Thomas, of Welington, lias joined the staff of Messrs Rutherford, M acalister and Coleman in the capacity of managing clerk. Mr Thomas, who has qualified as a solicitor, was previously with Messrs Duller, Anderson and Cuddle, solicitors,■ Wellington.
