A French communique states: The English violently, engaged the Bulgars, who were supported by the Germans, resulting in the capture by the English of Makumovo. The French have taken trenches on a 1500 , metre front on the right bank of the Yardar. The Serbians secured a brilliant victory, having taken the greater part of the crest of Malkaridge* at the point of the bayonet. The Serbian cavalry are pursuing the enemy. The French and Russians are dispersing the Bulgarian irregulars. ON THE STRUMA-DOSSAN FRONTS. Press Association—Copyright, Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received 11.45 a.m.) London, September 15. Cannonades continue on the Struma Doiran fronts, being particularly violent at Montsbeles. The English on the left bank of the Yardar in a violent battle, defeated the Bulgars and Germans. The English are firmly established at Makakovo, and also at two points northward
