THE POLLARD TRSAL FAILS. Wanganui, September 12. Ver Press Association. At the Supreme Court to-day, Rich■•rd Patrick Pollard was re-iriecl before Mr •Justice Kdwards on a charge of illegally using an instrument with the intent to procure' a miscarriage. The girl concerned died in the hospital. Accused, at the time of his arrest, \vn < recruiting oflicer for the Defence Department at ißawera. The jury disagreed, and a third trial'was ordered.
