Following are the handicaps for the New Zealand Trotting Cup: Our Thorpe and Country Belle 108 yards behind scratch, Don Caesar 81yds, Admiral Wood 72, Tommy C. 18, Rena, Pointer, and Cathedral Chimes ,56, Eminent, Erin’s King, Jingle, Steel Bell, and Evelyn 2-L, Emilns, Adelaide Direct, Wallace Wood, Raven,schild, and Persuader 12, •St. Ursula, Jewel Chimes, Frandoeia, Eccentric. Brown Bell, Succeed, Maudorene, and Gold Bell scr. A Melbourne cablegram states that Burradoon has been scratched for the Melbourne Cup. | (By Cicero.) The Marten Spring fixture, which will bo held to-morrow, should he a great success, as large fields promise to start, ami the various events bear a icry open appearance. A real good lot are engaged in the Hack Hurdles. Fm which event Golden March and . i,. Jand Lady should have a following. No less than twenty-three figure in lhe Trial Plate. Ilia and Hymcnaeiis may he the elect of bettors. Eleven fair jumpers have been paid no lor in the (Hack Steeplechase. Lady Bibboro and Mar ton are a likely “brace.” The Marten Handicap has drawn the good field of fifteen. Quito a large number of the acceptors have admirers, hut Hyllus and Orleans may command most support at the finish. A good class of hunters figure in the Hunt Club Cup. Wellwood and Lady Renown may have most to say at fSe finish. The sprinters engaged in the Electric Hack are smart. Perrier and Idyllic represent dangerous stables. A high-class field will line up for the Railway Handicap, but possibly, many of the better horses will benefit by the gallop, however, Miacara and Ohiwai should lie well forward. The concluding event, t the Tutaenui Welter,] .should provide a contest between Coral King and Hygia. !
