ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
RETURNED SOLDIER’S END. Auckland, September 4. Charlie Shear, a returned soldier, v. ho had been an inmate of the Avondale Mental Hospital since April 28, escaped from that institution on Saturday. His dead body was found drowned in a small creek on the hospital property at 10.30 this morning, lie was aged 30. An inquest Mill ho held to-morrow.
