One of the boats was smashed, whilst the storm carried away her deck cargo of 2d,(XX) feet of timber, strained the bulwarks and damaged the sails. Heavy rains have caused serious floods at Orange, Stomora, Yaas ami Young. The damage to 'stock amt machinery is heavy. Charles Sciringe has been sentenced to three years for firing at a policeman. There was a long list of convictions against him whilst in New Zealand.
