The liquor trade committee m Scotland, which had been appointed to enquire into the possibility of State purchase, unanimously does not recommend the purchase of the Scottish distilleries. The committee supports the abolition of grocers’ licenses, but those hotels and inns mainly depending on drink should ho purchased.
