WARNING REGARDING PRISONERS. _____ , Press Association—Copyright, Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. London, August 10. Mr Foster, in the House of Commons, stated that Turkish prisoners numbered 425 officers aud 9598 men, not including the recent Egyptian captures. Lord Robert Cecil said that Turkey was warned in July that she would be held responsible for losses sustained by British subjects. The warning had since been renewed, especially in regard to tbo treatment of com ban tants.
