CLOSER CO-OPERATION WITH THE ALLIES. Press Association—Copyright, Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. Lisbon, August 9. Tho Finance Minister has announced that Great Britain is advancing loans for war purposes, repayable within two years after tho war. Tho Foreign Minister stated that Great Britain has invited Portugal’s closer co-operation in the war when she is able to assist. Consultations are progressing with a view thereto.
