PERSONAL.
The late .Mr A. G. Fookes. whoso death was recorded yesterday, is survived by a widow and a family of six sons and live daughters. The sons are .Messrs H. E. Fookes (.Post and Telegraph Department), T. C. FookeS (Stratford), Dr. E. F. Fookes (NewPlymouth), A. E. Fookes aitd W. Fookes (Auckland), and George Fookes (New Plymouth), and the daughters are Mrs C. Nichol (Ashburton), Mrs Kelsey (Waikato), Mrs P. B. Fitahcrbert (Auckland), ami the Misses M. and (;. Fookes (New Plymouth >. Though for a long time in indifferent health ho was able to be about, took a short walk on Sunday afternoon, and retired to bed apparently as well as usual. During the night he had a seizure, and became? unconscious, remaining in this condition until he passed peacefully awaV on Wednesday morning. Had he lived. S\v Fookes would have celebrated his golden wedding next May.
