A London cable states that Lieutenant John llitchio, of the Soai'ortbs, an ox-Dimedinite, and .Jeeves, the Warwickshire bowler, have been killed in action. Yesterday, Mr W. Corkill, of M'ona Park, Stratford, received a telegfcim from the .Minister of Defence, stating that Private Alfred Douglas Corkill had been wounded in the shoulders, face, and buttocks. Private Corkill left Stratford in October last as a member of Lord Liverpool's Own.
