The Government are giving Captain Fryatt's widow £IOO a year, and the Great Eastern Company are giving £250.
Reports from Amsterdam indicate that the Germans are alarmed at the unanimous neutral reprobation of the Frvatt crime, and have commenced to issue explanations and justifications. THE RETORT GERMAN. The German official report states: It is quite intelligible that the British Government seeks to excuse the late Captain Fryatt, because it is responsible for the instructions issued to shipmasters.
