In reply to Dr. Thacker, Hon. das. Allen said that there had not heeu any cases of cerehro-spinal meningitis since he last made a statement, hut there had been pneumonia, with some deaths. Steps would be taken to thoroughly disinfect the camp before the. next reinforcements acre received. WAR LEGISLATION BILL. The Committee resumed consideration of the War Legislation Amendment Bill, dealing with the limitation of the increase of rents. These clauses and some amendments were passed. Mr Sidey proposed a new clause with the object of making provision for daylight saving. Mr Massey protested against moving a dohateable' clause of that nature at the close of the session. On a division the clause was carried by 29 to 20. Mr Massey at once moved to report progress, and progress was re- \ ported by 29 to 23. The House rose at 12.10.
