Butter.—Thij market is very firm, supplies being small. Danish 1765, Australian (nominal) choicest Tsßs to 160 s, seconds 152 sto 1545; Now Zealand, choicest 168 s to 170 s. Cheese.—The market is steady. New Zealand 90s, Canadian 88s to 90s. TARANAKI WOOL, SKIN, HIDE, AND TALLOW SALES. NEWTON KING'S REPORT. On Tuesday, July 25th, at my sale Of the above, I catalogued 44 bales and 112 sacks wool, 1260 sheepskins, 3 casks and '3l tins tallow, 150 hides, and 217 calf and the usual sundries.

Crutchings declined id per Ik in sympathy with the drop in other centres. Sheepskins hardly maintained last month's rates, salted lines being most affected.. Hides: Ox IOJd to lOfd, cow heavy 9kl to IOJd, medium 9Jd to 10'gd, light 9d to HHd, cut. 7d. dry 7}d, farmers' 7kl to B'|d, cut slippy 6sd to 7|d, dry Bd, horse heavy Ks (id to Us, light cut Bs, yearlings 8d to- 9d, cut slippv 6£d to Bd. ' Calfskins: Best IOJd to IOJd, seconds 8d to 9Jd, cut and slippy Id to Bd, slinks Is. Tallow : Casks, best 30s, in tins 22s to 2Gs Gd.
