DISASTROUS EXPLOSION.
22 MEN KILLED; 6 DYING. Press Association—Copyright, Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. New York, July 26. At Cleveland, Ohio, twenty-two men are dead and six are dying as a result of the terrific gas explosion in a tunnel. The workmen bored into a pocket of gas and the explosion killed eleven. The remainder and their would-be rescuers perished owing to the absence of gas helmets. Many bodies have been , recovered. Rescuers are' still working.' .
