AND OF “THE LOCAL BODIES’ LOANS ACT, 1913.” I PROPOSED STRATFORD BOROUGH ELECTRIC LIGHTING LOAN OF £IO,OOO. rn H E STRATFORD BORO I ; G H X COUNCIL hereby gives public notice that it proposes to borrow by «ay of Special Loan, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913,” the sum of .Sixteen Thousand Pounds (£10,000).

Tho particular purposes for which the loan is required, and the sum proposed to Ik; borrowed for each such purpose are as iollows: (a) For the purpose of lighting the streets and public places of the Borough of Stratford, arid supplying electricity to the inhabitants thereof, to acquire by purchase the whole of the business and undertaking of the Stratford Electrical Supply Company Limited, and the entire goodwill thereof, and all the freehold and leasehold lands, corporeal and incorporeal rights, easements and appurtenances, buildings, engines, machinery, poles, lines, plant, stock-in-trade, materials and other property of the said Company (ex- " cepting moneys, securities and ■■ 'book- debts). . -d: ; • ' £10,600. (b) To purchase or otherwise acquire all such other freehold or ' leasehold lands, rights, ease-riwrii-monts, property, machinery, plant, and materials, and to erect all such further buildings and other erections as the Council may consider necessary for the purpose of lighting the streets and public places of the Borough with electricity and supplying electricity to the inhabitants thereof £-100 Total £16,000 The Council proposes to pledge as security for the said Loan of £16,000 and the interest and sinking fund thereon, an annually recurring Special Rate of one penny and one farthing (lid) in the £ on the unimproved, valued of all rateable property mvitht in the said Borough of .Stratfoid durn ing the currency of such Loan, such;. Special Rate to be payable half yearlyl on the First day of April and the First day of October in each and every year during the currency ol such Loan, being a period of Thirtysix years', or until the said Loan is 'fully paid off. It is proposed that such Loan shall be for a period of Thirty-six years from the/lst day of October, 1916, iat live pounds live shillings £5 ss) per centilin ‘per annum interest, with the addition! cM-Sinking Fund of One 'potffid (*£l) per centum per annum, Lid’ the whole of the Loan is to he on the Ist day of October, 1952, by means of the Sinking Fund and otherwise.
