Committee appointed, by . .the; Archbishops of ;Canterbury [in 3914 to consider the .lielaiipns, qfrfchje 'Church and State, in a lengthy report, recommends the formation of a church legislative ■■ assembly, i consisting of bishops,! clergy/ and laity to legislate upon ecclesiastical affairs- the lay representatives to : include a proportion of w&ge-earners.
The Archbishops' Committee propose the appointment of a privy council committee as a link between the Church and the Legislative Assembly and Parliament. The committee is "i'felpdftsible'for bringing church laws requiring Parliamentary sanction before Parliament.
