At the monthly meeting of the Taranaki Land Board there were present:

Havard, lessee of O.R.P. section 4/ block 8, Mapara; L. F. J. Gamson, lessee of O.R.P, section 6, block 2, Totoro; C. Neilson, lessee of R.L. section 3, block 7, Beao; G. B. Law, lessee of R.L. section 1, block 7, Heao; and B. Buckle, lessee of 0. R. P. section 2, block 3, Piopiotea West, all of whom had enlisted for active service.

H. N. Maddox, lessee of O.R.P. section 1, block 4, Piopiotea West, applied for exemption from residence for three ‘years.—lt was resolved to inform lessee that personal residence would be required before February, 1918.

The Board, in committee, considered 80 applications received from members of the Expeditionary Forces for rental remisson under section 22 of the 1915 Act. Each case was considered and recommendations made according to the individual circumstances for consideration by the Minister of Lands.
