BOXING.
DEATH OF LOUIS HOOD. (Received 9 a.m.) \ London, June 23. The verdict in the inquest on Louis Hootl was that death was due to misadventure. In the course of the National Sporting Club featherweight contest, Charlie Hardcastle knocked out Louis Hood with two rights on tire jaw in the fourteenth round and Hood died at the Club early iu the morning.
